Mr. Moyer received a B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1978 and an Associates degree from Wingate University in 1976. In addition, Mr. Moyer is a CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), has a CEA-TAX (certificate of Educational Achievement), awarded by the AICPA and a Series 65 Investment Advisor Representative designation. Mr. Moyer is a member of the AICPA, NCACPA, AICPA-Tax Division, AICPA-Personal Financial Planning Center and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
With more than thirty years experience, serving an extensive and diverse client base, Mr. Moyer has provided fraud investigation and prevention services for most of his professional career. During 2002 Mr. Moyer received specialized training in fraud investigations and achieved the CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) Credential from The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Mr. Moyer is available for fraud investigations, fraud prevention planning, and litigation support services. With thirty years of accounting, auditing, and tax experience and specialized training in fraud investigations, Mr. Moyer’s qualifications speak for themselves.
During his professional career, Mr. Moyer has gained extensive experience in specific industries such as construction, manufacturing, agriculture, service providers, factoring and leasing. Mr. Moyer also has a broad tax background. He advises clients in complex tax areas such as mergers, acquisitions, consolidated corporate returns of controlled groups of corporations, estate planning, financial planning and other specialty areas. Mr. Moyer has also been active in professional organizations and has served on the North Carolina Association of CPA’s Professional Ethics Committee.
Over the past thirty years, Mr. Moyer has served his community in a variety of civic and charitable organizations. He served as President of Monroe Breakfast Rotary, President of UDI, Co-Founder and Chairman of the SPCC Foundation, Inc., Co-Founder of Monroe Shag Club Foundation, Inc., a participant in Leadership Union’s first class, and is a former Trustee of Anson Community College. Other civic organizations in which he served includes Jaycees, Union County Players, Union County Chamber of Commerce, United Way, New Hope Baptist Church, Rolling Hills Country Club, the NC Association of CPA’s and the American Institute of CPA’s.
